Fountain of Diana and Actaeon

Fountain with statuary group located in the park From the Fountain of Venus and Adonis the water descends into the Pool of Diana and Actaeon. The fountain recounts the episode of the myth of Diana and Actaeon who was turned into a stag after seeing the goddess naked and shows on the right the goddess of hunting surrounded by nymphs and on the left Actaeon who by metamorphosis is about to become a stag and is mauled by his dogs The fountain is preceded by balustrades decorated with hunters and nymphs and was built by Paolo Persico, Pietro Solari and Angelo Brunelli
