Lid of wooden sarcophagus with abraded names

A sarcophagus with abraded names and a completely disfigured face, it is not known whose mummy it was. The head is covered by a heavy wig, instead of the more usual nemes. The shoulders and chest are covered with a motif reproducing a large necklace. A false beard and uraeus are present. The arms are crossed over the chest and the hands must have been holding the sceptre and scourge (Hekat and Nekhekh), also lost. The cartouches present have been obliterated. It is speculated that the owner of the sarcophagus may have been Akhenaten or Smenkhara.
