Statue of Hator with Amenhotep II

The ceiling of the vaulted chapel is decorated with a starry sky. The back wall is occupied by a scene in which Thutmosi III offers libations and fumigations to the god Amun-Ra seated on a throne, the hieroglyphs on the left enunciate two names of the ruler and comment on his action; on the side walls, the goddess Hathor is depicted, starting from the bottom, standing, with the solar disc on her head between two bovine horns, in the act of receiving offerings from Thutmosi III, then in the guise of a heifer, in the act of suckling the child sovereign, kneeling beneath her, who is also depicted as an adult while offering offerings to the goddess; On the left wall Thutmosi is accompanied by his wife Meritra, on the right by two princesses; suckling is also depicted on a sculpture of his successor Amenhotep II, which was found inside the sanctuary.
