Statue of Aset, mother of Thutmosi III

Queen Aset is seated on a seat that forms a single block with the base. On the heavy wig with tripartite braids rests a cylindrical diadem, covered with gold foil. On her forehead stand two uraeus, one with the red crown of Lower Egypt, the other with the white crown of Upper Egypt; she wears a usekh necklace and bracelets, a tunic and clutches a lotus-shaped sceptre.
