Statue of Nofret from Meidum. Nofret wears a black wig with a floral motif headband around his head, a long toga and a tunic underneath. Around his neck is an elaborate necklace. Her skin is painted a creamy white generally used for women. Like her husband, her titles are inscribed in black hieroglyphics on her chair. The statue has set eyes. The white part of the eye is made of opaque quartz, the cornea of transparent rock crystal and the pupil of black impasto.
