Stele of Abis

The stele is in the shape of a small temple and features a Greek text. Below the inscription is depicted the bull Apis in front of an altar placed on a plinth. The structure framing the inscription is made in high relief: the base consists of four steps that seem to lead to the painted scene, the sides are in the form of two pillars at the top of which are two nude female figures in a frontal position with crossed arms; the triangular roof is adorned with palm motifs on the vertex and at the ends.
