Treasure of Tutankhamun. Scarab bracelet

Scarab bracelet found inside a wooden scroll-shaped container together with other jewellery. The bracelet is rigid and shows signs of use. It is composed of two semicircles held together by a hinge and a clasp for opening. The decoration is purely symmetrical. A scarab made of lapis lazuli is placed in the centre, the rest of the animal's body is made of gold, executed with precision and realism. The scarab is surrounded by a thin line in gold, lapis lazuli, turquoise and carnelian. The rest of the bracelet has been decorated with quartzite flowers, mouthpieces and rosettes.
