Treasury of Tutankhamun. Second Golden Shrine

The shape of this shrine, curved at the top, is typical of the per-uer, the best-known shrine in Upper Egypt. The wooden structure is stuccoed, decorated with relief representations and inscriptions and covered with gilding. The texts carved on the walls are taken from scriptures dating back to the Old Kingdom, such as the Pyramid Texts, or more recent ones, such as the Book of the Dead
