Statuette of Isis suckling Horus (Isis lactans)

Statuette of Isis suckling Horus (Isis lactans). The goddess is seated on a throne, holding her son Horus on her lap, cradling him with her left arm and offering him her breast with her right hand. The body of the goddess is wrapped in a long tunic, on her head a wig on which rests a modus decorated with a frieze of urei, surmounted by the solar disc, between two cow horns. The child god Horus is naked and wears only a cap with uraeus on his forehead and a braid on his right side to symbolise his infantile state.
