The head of a sovereign with a blue crown is depicted on the ostracon. The sketch was traced in yellow ochre, then in diluted red ochre; the final drawing was finally repainted with lampblack and brightened up by the red touch on the lips and the crease of the eyelids and the pale yellow on the chin and cheek. On the forehead the uraeus serpent stands out.
