There is no inscription that can provide information on the identity of the subject depicted, although it has been suggested that it is of the pharaoh as a child, since he shows the curl of youth. Some scholars, however, consider it more likely that the statuette depicts Ihy, the son of Hathor of Daedera and Horus of Edfu.
