The jewel, made of solid gold, bears at its centre an image of a ruler in the form of a sphinx, with a blue crown adorned with an uraeus, a false beard and a broad usekh collar. Two circular bands with a 'V' motif surround the sphinx. On the edges of the earring are applied small granulated rings. A gold foil in the shape of an usekh collar is soldered to the top of the jewel.
