Statue depicting a companion of Ulysses (possibly Baio)

Exhibition 'Ulysses the Myth and Memory', Palazzo delle Esposizioni, 1996. The statue depicts a companion of Ulysses, probably Baio, in the famous episode of the blinding of the Cyclops Polyphemus. The man, in fact, is portrayed in heroic nudity, with the muscles of his body tensed, in the act of advancing together with Ulysses, while holding a wineskin full of wine, indispensable to further intoxicate the monster
