Next to Christ are depicted the archangels in front of a door to heaven. Only one door remains empty, it is the one abandoned by Lucifer after his fall. On the far left are represented: Uriel, the guardian of the sun, Michael with his spear and shield. On the right are three other archangels: Gabriel is on the left of Christ holding the Annunciation lily; Samuel holding a labarum and chalice and finally Zofiel, the guardian of the moon.
