Theatre

The theatre of Leptis Magna is one of the oldest masonry theatres in the Roman world. In the upper part of the cavea, a rich woman had a small temple dedicated to Cere Augusta built in 35-36 AD. The granite and marble columns and the marble floor belong to a renovation from the 2nd century AD. Along the side of the portico is a base of a statue
