Arch of Trajan

The arch stands at a crossroads, on the cardus maximus, south of the Arch of Tiberius. It is a tetrapil arch of great elegance. The pilasters are decorated, on the outer corners, by projecting Corinthian columns, which rest on a high pedestal and support the architrave and cornice, which also project.
