The peristyle area is surrounded by columns on three sides and open to the sea. The ambulatories and the spaces between the columns are all decorated with mosaics. The ambulacra on all three sides feature a series of panels with geometric designs, while three of the columns on the south side feature a motif of vegetal whorls from amphorae and cups.
