The casket is quadrangular, with four squared feet resting on a wooden plinth. The four sides feature a central wooden panel, bordered by a polychrome rectangular frame; all around the panel runs a hieroglyphic inscription, presenting the full title of the pharaoh Ramesses IX. The lid is flat and sliding, decorated with two rectangular wooden panels, the same as those on the sides. As a closure, a knob is inserted on the front side.
