The space between the armrests, the seat and the backrest is filled with a refined floral motif that constitutes the predominant decorative element of the furniture discovered in Hetepheres' tomb. There are three papyrus flowers, a typical Lower Egyptian plant, whose stems are joined by a trapezoidal band imitating a coiled rope, the central flower is straight, the other two slanting; the legs of the armchair are lion-shaped resting on a small cylinder.
