Rameses II and Hathor (detail)

Rameses, on the left, is depicted with the swty crown, consisting of the solar disc flanked by two feathers and two urei above ram's horns. In his left hand he holds the sign Sed, indicating the royal jubilee. Facing the ruler is Hathor. The goddess wears a long, tight-fitting dress, on her head she wears her typical crown with a sun disk and bovine horns. In her left hand she holds a palm branch (symbol of the years), while in her right hand she holds a menat necklace, offered to her by Rameses.
