Niche and offering bearers

A deep rectangular niche is framed by a painted door. At the top of the door there is a decoration in which an hatoric head and tied papyrus flowers are flanked by djed pillars. Beyond the arched top of the painted door are, on ochre background, two udjat eyes. Inside the niche the lower part of a sculpted group representing the tomb’s owners (Menna and his wife) is still in place. At the left of the niche there is a decoration on two registers. On both registers there is an offering bearer, dressed in a light garment and a short kilt. The men move towards the niche: the one in the upper register carries fruit an lotus flowers, the one in the lower register carries lotus and papyrus flowers.
