Book of Doors, third division. This enormous serpent symbolises time and is represented between two groups of twelve goddesses (two groups of six) placed on two triangular ramps (these have a darker and a lighter side to symbolise the Nun). The goddesses are the personification of the hours of the night. Her serpent coils represent each hour. The hours are generated and then devoured by the serpent.
