Book of Doors: the cobra Meseret 'The Flame

Book of Doors, third division. The niche inside the burial chamber depicts Ramesses I inside a pavilion symbolising the place of embalming, in the form of Osiris with a white crown. The pharaoh rests on a wavy serpent. In front of him stands a cobra, Meseret 'the flame'. Behind him stands a ram-headed god with his arms raised and his hands on the pharaoh's shoulders. His feet rest on two vases.
