Book of the Earth This part of the book is perhaps the beginning of the composition. In it the realm of the dead is represented. Osiris is the protagonist along with the birth of the sun. Scenes of renewal and rebirth are depicted along with scenes of punishment. The lower register is reserved for the annihilation of enemies and punitive deities with cauldrons. At the base of the wall is a series of decapitated enemies.
