Amduat: sixth and seventh hours

Amduat Left: Sixth hour First register gods and three chambers with an opening in the roof through which a serpent breathes fire. Under a vaulted roof is a form of Ra. Second Register Mummified deities with human heads and beards. To the right a large three-headed serpent. Inside the oval formed by his body is a god lying on his back, with a human head on which is a scarab symbol of Khepera. Third register Nine snakes spit fire from their jaws and are armed with knives. Only the upper part of their bodies is visible. In front of them stands a deity. On the right: Seventh hour First register The mummified and seated god Shepes holds a curved object, possibly a knife. In front of him a goddess with the head of a lioness preceded by a large uraeus. Below, a god in human form is seated on a throne and wears two feathers and an uraeus on his head. Under his body is a serpent facing kneeling, headless figures with arms tied behind their backs, symbolising the enemies of Osiris. They are punished by a cat- or lynx-headed god wielding a sharp object and a knife. Behind him other enemies of Osiris lie on their backs with arms tied by a rope. Second register The sun boat lies in front of an enormous serpent nailed to the ground with knives. The goddess Serket is depicted in the act of strangling him while a god behind him binds him by the tail. Behind him other goddesses armed with knives. Third register God with hawk's head and solar disc with uraeus is seated before twelve gods and twelve goddesses embodying the stars and the hours.
