Sobek e Amenhotep III (particolare)

Detail of the upper part of the sculptural group depicting the crocodile god Sobek with the pharaoh Amenhotep III. Sobek is seated on a throne and holds the Ankh symbol close to the face of the ruler. On his head is a crown with two feathers, two ram's horns and a sun disk (Crown Swty), on his forehead the uraeus is visible. Amenhotep III is standing next to the god and is represented on a smaller scale. He wears the nemes and a stiff skirt, on his chin he has a false beard.
