Meryt offers amulets in Sennefer

Detail of one of the four pillars of the Funeral Chamber. Sennefer is seated on a stool with golden paws under which is a casket. He wears a wig, a long semi-transparent garment and a skirt, around his neck he wears a golden breastplate and two heart-shaped amulets, on his chin a short square beard is visible. In his left hand he holds a lotus flower, while his right hand is raised towards Meryt, standing in front of him. She is wearing a long wig with a diadem, a breastplate and a long white dress. In her hands she holds a tray with two gold necklaces that she is offering to her bridegroom: from the one on the right hangs a large amulet in the shape of a scarab, from the one on the left a Tit knot, a Djed pillar and a phallus. Above: two Udjat eyes, with the Shen symbol in the centre and the Nun vase (with the three wavy lines symbolising water).
