Sennefer and Meryt are purified

Wall of the Funeral Chamber. The scene depicts the purification of Sennefer and Meryt by a priest Sem. On the left, the priest wears a panther skin and a coloured collar. In his hands he holds a Nemset vase, with which he is pouring water, represented by a blue wavy line, over Sennefer and Meryt. Sennefer, in the centre, wears a wig, gold earrings, a semi-transparent garment and a skirt. On his chin is a short square beard and around his neck is a Shebyu collar, two heart-shaped amulets and a breastplate. He leans on a long staff that he holds in his right hand, while in his left he clutches a bouquet of lotus flowers. Meryt, who wears a long wig, a floral tiara, jewellery and a white dress, clasps a Menat necklace in her right hand and a sistrum and a head of lettuce in her left.
