The winged goddess Nephthys and scenes from the Amduat

Detail of the right wall of the burial chamber, where there is a representation of the third hour of the book of Amduat, accompanied by the texts, in which the mummified figure of the deceased emerges next to the god Anubis in the form of a jackal on his shrine. Above, the representation of the goddess Nephthys, kneeling as she spreads her wings in protection of the deceased king who lies at her feet with his sarcophagus. She is the counterpart of the goddess Isis on the left wall: the two goddesses can be distinguished by the hieroglyphic sign indicating her name on her head.
