Symbolic representations of stars and constellations

Ceiling of the burial chamber: symbolic representations of stars and constellations. At the bottom is the southern sky, divided from the northern sky at the top by a band. The southern sky shows the decan stars. These were a group of 36 stars that rose above the horizon with each rotation of the earth. Each decan marked the beginning of a new hour of the night.
