Detail of the south side of the ceiling. The scene is taken from §109 of the Book of the Dead: the new sun is born again on the horizon, in the form of a small white calf with black spots. On its back it carries the deceased, who has regenerated and participates in the rebirth of the star. Its new vitality is manifested in the colour of its flesh.
