The god Anubis in front of the mummy of Inherkau.

Scene on the left wall of the burial chamber of the tomb of Inherkau. The jackal god Anubis holds a heart under the nose of the mummy of Inherkau, an act performed as part of the ritual of the Opening of the Mouth. The god and the deceased are on a rush mat, separated by a basket with fruit and bread. Behind Anubis is the symbol of Osiris, the symbol of the Abydos district. The title of the scene is formula number 26 of the Book of the Dead.
