Officials rewarded by Amenhotep III (detail)

Detail of the scene with Khaemhat (not visible) and royal officials bowing before Amenhotep III. These are being rewarded by the ruler with gifts. On the left one of the officials, depicted in a wig and skirt, is leaning slightly forward towards an attendant (not visible) who is placing a cone of perfumed ointment on his head. Behind the official are six other similarly dressed figures waiting their turn to receive the gifts, a symbol of esteem from the sovereign.
