Officials rewarded by Amenhotep III (detail)

Detail of the scene with Khaemhat (not visible) and royal officials bowing before Amenhotep III. Two officials are depicted wearing wigs, skirts and cones of perfumed ointment on their heads. These have been rewarded by the ruler with gifts, which are presented to them by attendants with shaven heads. The attendant on the left is placing a Shebyu collar around the official's neck, the one on the right is placing a scented cone on the head of the second official. Further gifts are placed on stands between orderlies and officials.
