Khaemhat (detail)

Detail of the transition area between the Transverse Hall and the Court, on the inside of the door. Khaemhat is represented standing and has his arms raised in an attitude of adoration. On his head he has a double wig (the hair is rendered in a different manner: with straight locks at the top and curls at the bottom, at shoulder height). On his neck a shebyu collar and a wide breastplate are visible. On his chin is a short, square false beard, worn by courtiers and prominent figures.
