Female figures (detail)

The woman in the centre is probably Userhat's wife: Shepset. She wears a long wig with a tiara and a sash tied at the nape of her neck. On her head are lotus flowers and a cone of perfumed ointment decorated with a crown of petals. Behind her are two other similarly dressed female figures, these hold a rounded object in their hands. In front of Shepset is a pedestal with gold necklaces on it: Shepset's hands are raised in sign of veneration or thanksgiving to the ruler for the gifts received.
