Sphinx of Ramesses II

The sculpture rests on a smooth, anepigraphic rectangular plinth. The feral body stretches out sinuously, with the long front legs stretched forward and the tail curved over the right hind leg. The head is human, more precisely representing the ruler Ramses II. On the forehead towers the uraeus. The chin elongates into a large, square, false beard.
