Mastaba of Ankhmahor

The mastaba of Ankhmahor is located in Saqqara. He was a vizier who lived during the 6th dynasty and was one of the most important officials in the retinue of Pharaoh Teti. The tomb contains six chambers and the decoration features some interesting scenes of medical practices, scenes of agriculture, craftsmen at work, jewellery making and metalwork as well as sculpture. In the pillared hall, mourners during the funeral procession and dancing women can be observed.
