Temple of Artemis

The building is almost square in shape, has a row of two central columns with sixteen facets and has two doors on the façade. The entrance to the pronaos has a marble Doric portal with jambs and epistyle decorated with fine moulding, which is probably the oldest Cyrenian architectural element worked in marble. In the Hadrianic period, a marble portico was added to the front, distiled in antis, with two columns juxtaposed within the wings.
