The fountain is in the form of an apsidal niche with marble-covered edges and is covered with polychrome mosaic and shells. the water originally flowed from a marble mask of Silenus. the apse is decorated with a mermaid between acanthus leaves. on the sides of the interior are two doves. the upper part is decorated with geometric motifs, the lower with plant vines and scrolls. The upper part of the exterior shows two dolphins. On the etsreno is a bronze statuette of a fisherman.
