Decorative panel forming part of a unique pair as a technique. It is thought to have belonged to the decoration of a piece of furniture. It depicts the Dionysian cycle, in particular Ariadne's initiation into the mystery cult. She receives a drink from a maenad in the presence of a dancing satyr, between the branches of a tree on which are suspended the symbols of the cult of Dionysus.
