A white marble statuette, originally gilded and painted. It depicts Dionysus pouring wine into the mouth of the panther at his feet. The statue is a votive gift from Numerius Popidius Amplius, as the inscription on the base of the statue shows. Dionysus was identified with the Egyptian deity Osiris
