A polychrome mosaic dating from the 3rd century BC and bearing the signature of the author, Dioscurides of Samos, on the side. It shows two young women consulting a sorceress. The three women wearing acting masks sit around a circular table, on which pottery is arranged. The sorceress holds a silver cup in her hands. This probably alludes to the preparation of a love potion. The theme is taken from Aristophanes' Synaristoi.
