Clay statuette of the philosopher Antisthenes

Terracotta statuette that decorated the garden of the house. The pronounced facial features made it possible to identify the statuette with the Athenian philosopher Antisthenes, a pupil of Socrates and founder of the school of the Cynics. It shows the philosopher seated, with tunic, shoes and parchment in hand.
