In the upper part a worker is seen hanging out woollen cloths with a comb. at his side another worker walks with an owl on his head, alluding to the goddess Athena, protector of the launderers. in the other panel we see washerwomen intent on washing cloths with their feet dipped in water and hanging out the cloths
