Maid shovel

Painting depicting the Madonna in Glory with Saints Barbara and Ursula adored by the spinsters of the Conservatory. The painting has no connection with the Ursulines, to whom the Conservatory of Saint Agnes was entrusted: the presence of Saint Ursula is explained by her role as protector of the orphan girls. The prayers of the 'citelle' are mediated and answered by the two patron saints kneeling at the feet of the Virgin, who will report them directly to the Eternal Father, depicted in the now lost cymatium.
