The god of the sun Khepri. Detail

Detail. The west wall's decorative scheme is taken up by the Book of Amduat. The upper register is occupied by the solar barque, with the sun-god in form of scarab, Khepri, preceded by five deities. Below twelve baboons represent the twelve hours of the night through which the sun-god (and the king) must travel before achieving rebirth at dawn.
