Two of the eight 'princesses' that perform libations during the sed festival of Amenhotep III.

The detail shows two of the eight 'princesses' that perform libations from spouted vessels on the occasion of the First Jubilee (heb sed) festival of Amenhotep III. They are the daughters of foreign princes raised at the court of the pharaoh. They wear the transparent flowing garments of their time. The princesses have on their heads a rectangle or mortar not been decorated. Each makes a libation, using spouted vessels of two different styles.
