Detail. The king wears the blue crown, the Khepresh, on his head. In the representations this headgear, appeared at the beginning of the Eighteenth Dynasty, is worn only by the king. The khepresh consists in a sort of cap-helmet, probably of leather, usually decorated with metal studs and adorned the Uraeus.
