On the obverse are the harnessed busts of Ptolemy II, draped and with diadem, and of Arsinoe II, draped and veiled, behind Gallic shield, above the inscription ΑΔΕΛΦΩΝ or Adelfon. Reverse of Ptolemy II's gold octodrachm with the busts of Ptolemy I, draped and with diadem, and Berenice I, draped, veiled and with diadem; above the inscription ΘΕΩΝ or Theon.
